Get ready to enjoy and take advantage of holidays and festivals in Búzios throughout the year

For those who like sports, the month of March is the best in the city, which hosts the championship of parachuting. In the holiday of Corpus Christi, the beach of Manguinhos is traditionally decorated with carpets made of salt, on grounds sacros. In July, the Church of Sant'Ana celebrates the feast of the patron, and in October, it is the turn of Our Lady of Aparecida.

But the best of Buzios is reserved for the month of November, when it celebrated the anniversary of emancipation of the city, on 12. Four days of the festival, which is divided between religious quermesses on the first day, concerts of local bands in the second, and national celebrations on the third day. The last day is reserved for activities for children, such as concerts, plays and presentations of children's circus.

November is also the season of Film Festival, held outdoors. They are placed two telões, a square in Santos Dumont, in the centre and another in the square of Rasa, in the outskirts of the city. Each of them shows a different film. At that time the Brazilian artists use to communicate and even launch their films, as was the case of "Bellini and Esfinge" with Malu Mader, in 2001.

Buzios is a bustling night life with concerts, nightclubs, parties, restaurants and bars for all tastes. Indeed, the night of Buzios is an item that part. The central point is the movida Rua das Pedras, an eclectic street, where it is common to find famous people and hear foreign languages by all sides. It is there that you see actually the number of foreigners who are in the city.
