Chapel N. Sra. Desatadoras dos Nós One of the most antique devotions to Nossa Senhora, Maria Desatadora de Nós. Started in Germany in the year 1700 when a miraculous draw of the Virgen was registered, inspired on a meditation of Saint Irineu. Later the draw went to Augsburg, in S. Peter and Perlack Church. The registers of the miracles spaired through Europe and got to Argentina, the Santuários were altars dedicated to Her.

The chapel of Búzios city was constructed and dedicated to Nossa Senhora Desatadora dos Nós. Beyond Buzios another city has its altar dedicated to the Saint, in Campinas is Maria Porta do Céu Church with a replic of the drawing that is in Germany.

In the piece of land given by the Father of Sant´Anna and Santa Rita and Father Ricardo Whyte, the chapel was built, and thanks to the devotion of Isis Penido, who took the costs for the homenage to Her that is our Mother.

Fishermen Colony
Social jobs are offered by the association, like ships legalization, Buzios fishermans register in the agriculture ministry, spanish and english lessons, dental service, professional qualification courses, always pointing to the concientization and preservation of the art of fishing, showing the importance and values of the profession. In the Colony there are meetings with the fishermen every Tuesday to solve all the problems having to do with the fishing community and the development of new techniques.

Churf of Sant´Anna

Sant'Anna Church is with no doubt an important part of the history of Buzios, it was constructed in the year 1740 being the first christian manifestation of the city. Historic patrimony, the church is the selected attraction of the tourists, that enjoy its architectonic beauty and its view. Between Armação and Ossos Beach, the church shows its beauty front to the sea, behind the church is the only cementery of the city.

Ilha Feia
It received the name for being discovered from the back side, where there is only a big rock that is obligated stop point of the tour boats in Buzios. Deserted and with a pretty beach is perfect for who´s searching for a good diving point.

Ilha dos Gravatás
Exotic diving point, Gravatás island can be seen from Geribá.

Ilha da Rasa
Rasa Island received its name for being close to Rasa Beach. You can get close in the boat tours.

Ilha do Caboclo
Little island next to the pier of Canto Beach. Excellent point for sport fishing.

Viewers of the peninsula
Estrategically situated in the peninsula the viewers of Búzios are two, enough to show a complete view of the entire peninsula including islands and mountains. There is one located between João Fernandinho and Brava, and the other one between Brava and Forno.

Viewer of Forno
Shows practically all the peninsula, this viewer is next to Forno Beach. The simple access makes it one of the most selected points to enjoy the views of Buzios.

Orla Bardot
An homage to Brigitte Bardot giving her name to the main point in the city, the Orla Bardot extends from the end of Canto Beach to the end of Armação Beach, completing the sundown in Buzios. The beauty is seeing in the sculputures of the artist Christina Motta, the Brigitte Bardot, sitting looking to the sunset, and the "three fishermen", that are picking a net, in Armação Beach.

Pier of the Center
The pier of the center divides Armação and Canto Beach, this antique pier is totally restaured by the city hall, is where the tour boats arround Búzios departure, diving operators boats departure, rental point of fishing boats and also used as the landing of passengers of the big transatlantics that anchor there.

Poças das Tartarugas
Strange show of nature, notchs on the rocks and vulcanic levees compose the puddles and natural ditches for the water of the sea that fall like exuberant waterfalls of different levels. Every time the sea is brave and the tide high, you will apreciate this espectacular show of nature. To get to Poças das Tartarugas get a path through Amores Beach, that is on the left side of Ferradurinha. The access is not easy and beginners have to ask for advice to a guide or someone who´s informed in the place.

Ponta do Criminoso
Name given by the amount of accidents there are, Ponta do Criminoso (criminal point) is situated on the right side of João Fernandinho, it´s a frange of rocks visited by fishermen and divers, because there is a big variety of fish.

Ponta da Lagoinha
Formed by rocks over 520 millon years, Ponta da Lagoinha is the historical test of a region with the same characteristics of the Himalaya.

It´s called the Brazilian Himalaya, recently recognized by cientists of the University of RJ (UFRJ). Beyond the beauty of this femomenum, Lagoinha is an unforgetable rocky place, with natural pools and many fish and native vegetation, including the white head cactus that only grows in this coast.

Tauá Reserve
In an area of 3 millon m2 of antique lagoons that became ponds is located Tauá Reserve, with herbaceous vegetation rich in ciperáceas and primary mata (native arbust of the beginings of life in the planet). The only lagoon of sweet water in the region you can find it in the reserve and is fundamental for the life of the migratory birds. The biologists say that the birds that drink water in the lagoon have more chances to cross the Atlantic Ocean because it is not salty.

The reserve is a natural deposit, with 300 especies of butterflies, 83 of birds, orquídeas, Pau Brasil and 40% of 1300 types of bromelias found in Brazil. A big amount of shrub compose the woods of restinga that is the 4th ecosystem in danger in the world, day by day it renews, preserving the fauna and flora in all its details.

There still are indian rests, like "casa de farinha" (equipment used to grind the mandioca) and the antique sambaquis cementery, historical symbols of our antique culture that are intact. Near 7000 years ago, the Malhada Pond was covered by the sea, and today is a fossil beach with many kind of shells and oysters. Tauá reserve is located in the region of Brejo da Malhada, between Búzios and Cabo frio.

Turibe de Farias Street
Is the street that mixes the dayly life with essencial markets, like restaurants and bars to drugstores, tourism agencies, shops and others, making this street the contact point for people who live in Buzios and the tourists. Turibe Street is paralel to Rua das Pedras and is for sure a good option for shopping, in the dayly walks in the center of the city.

Serra das Emerências Emerências Sierra robe typical and weird kinds of Mata Atlântica. You can still find the extinct Golden Lion Monkeys and even that it seems incredible, lots of trees of Pau-Brasil. The sierra characterizes for the small coast bulks of precambric origen, indemic especies detaches, like cactus "Piloso Sereus Ulei". In parts protected by the wind, and the sand movimentation is not so many, vegetation develops more, shrubs and trees predominate. Rua das Pedras
Rua das Pedras street is the fashion footbridge! A shop in this street can worth many thousand dollars, here you can find famous national and international brands, art galeries, discoteques and restaurants, an open sky shopping where the good energy and the different nationalyties prevail, besides, this is what differences the city giving a cosmopolitan, electic and altruist touch. Everything is different here starting with the oppening time, from 12:00 PM to 03:00 AM. Rua Das Pedras has its name because of the stones that the street is made of and no cars are admited. The mix of options give a psycodelical style and the mix of so many nationalities give an excentric something that characterizes the nights in the region.
