The infusion is made by boiling one tea spoon of flower in a water cup. Leave it for some minutes and then filter it. External use: In case of conjunctivitis (wash the eyes with the infusion ) In case of insect bites (pass it over the affected area.) For mouth infection rinse the mouth.Due to its calming and refreshing properties it’s advisable to make a tea , filter , let it cool up and pass it over the face with some cotton. Leave it for approximately 20 minutes, and wash it up with cold water. According to the alchemists, it’s a solar plant and it’s associated to constancy in the popular tradition.

In case of nasal block, it’s used in inhalation. Put some leaves of mint in boiled water and inhale the vapor.Another interesting application is putting 50 grams of leaves in 1 liter of boiled water. Let it boil for 3 minutes low flame, filter and mix it in the shower water. It’s good to be taken in the morning, for it’s stimulating. This herb is also used in food pastry and syrup. A delicious combination is to put some mint leaves in pineapple juice .

Way to use it: cut a piece of the leaf, take away the cover , extract the gel that is found inside and apply straight over the affected area. In case of constipation, take 2 tea spoons of this gel , mixing in a water cup or juice twice a day. It shall not be taken in case of pregnancy. In India they prepare a tonic wine, with a Aloe gel, fermented honey and spices that is called "kumaryasava". Is used in case of anemia and digestive and hepatic disturbance.
